2. The second way to survive is to be sexually attractive. It works kind of similar to the first way: For the most females, sexual attraction is paired with being strong. The female also tries to survive and would prefer having a strong male on her side to have better chances. You may think that this is the same way to survive than the other one, but it is not. Males, due to this sexual selection of the woman, have slowly gained attributes making them look stronger than they really are. If we look at the peacock, we see those huge feathers. They might be impractical for this animal if it wants to survive with the first technique. It becomes slower and can't escape predators anymore. Why does this animal have those then? Because it looks impressive for the female peacocks. They see those, and they see it as a sign of strength. That's why slowly the peacock's grown bigger and bigger tails until it started to become too big for them to survive. I hope anyone understood it so far. Now I will show you some pairs of an image with the same animal but with different attributes. I want you to tell me which of those are the ones more likely to survive. To make this a little more fun I have a thought of an extra rule. The class has 5 seconds to respond. Anyone can, but if no one says the answer you will get an electrical shock on your cages. Then with every second without any answer, it will hurt more and more. So let's begin!
